微软公司表示：“这个版本的Windows 7/Direct3D 11技术预览，将会被作为DirectX SDK的一部分递交给用户，其中包括以下新的功能、工具和文档： Direct2D的技术预览、DirectWrite的技术预览、DXGI 1.1的技术预览。”

【IT商业新闻网】据国外媒体报道，本周初，微软对外更新了DirectX产品的路线图，当然，微软公司对于Windows 7轮廓的图形技术演变情况，还是抱着半透明的态度。据了解，通过此次更新，微软推出Direct2D、DirectWrite以及DXGI1.1的新的技术预览以及一个Windows 7/Direct3D 11新的TP发布。目前，这些组件可以作为3月份的DirectX软件开发工具包的组成部分，被用户下载使用。而2008年11月，微软首次在SDK中向用户交付Windows 7 DirectX 11。

显然，微软的此次更新是针对专业开发人员发布的，开发人员将能够利用Direct3D 11结合DirectX运行时和DirectX兼容解决方案的额外的软件，去促进最新版本的SDK的改变。2009年3月的DirectX更新中，微软已经通过软件开发工具包更新了工具和实用程序、代码样本、文档以及32位和64位运行调试文件。

据微软称：“Direct2D是一种硬件加速器，立即模式的二维图形API，它可以提供高性能和高品质的渲染二维几何、位图和文字。该Direct2D API的设计目的实现与Direct3D和GDI的良好互通；DirectWrite提供支持高品质的文本渲染、决议、独立的字体轮廓以及充分的 Unicode文字和布局的支持等等； DXGI 1.1是以DXGI 1.0为基础建立的，将提供对Windows Vista和Windows 7的支持。”

DirectX最终用户运行主要支持以下语言：中文（简体）、中文（繁体）、捷克语、荷兰语、法语、德语、意大利语、日语、韩语、波兰语、葡萄牙语（巴西）、俄语、瑞典语和英语。

This technical preview allows developers to evaluate the API and write simple applications, with some of the more advanced functionality possible on properly configured machines.
